Implementing OMM into Patient Care

This CME activity is designed to equip clinicians and preceptors with foundational knowledge of Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) and the clinical models used to determine its applicability.

1. Define osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) and explain its purpose within osteopathic medicine.
2. Describe the models used to determine the appropriateness of OMT and analyze their application in clinical scenarios.
3. Evaluate patient cases to determine when OMT might be an appropriate treatment option.
4. Demonstrate the correct techniques for utilizing OMT in clinical practice.

AOA Credit Designation Statement:

 The Arkansas Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. 

The Arkansas Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine designated this activity for a maximum of 1.0 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.

Cancellation Policy

When notified in writing and timely, ACHE will issue a refund for accredited continuing education activities.

Procedures and Responsibilities

1. All cancellations and requests for a refund must be received in writing no less than 20 days before the first day of the accredited continuing education activity to receive a full refund, less a 20% administrative fee.
2. No refunds will be made on cancellations received less than 20 days of the first day of the accredited continuing education activity.
3. Cancellations and requests for a refund shall be submitted in writing to the ACHE Office of Continuing Education. If the cancellation is submitted via U.S. Mail, the envelope must be post marked by the applicable deadline above.
4. ACHE reserves the right to cancel or postpone accredited activities, if necessary.  In the event of a cancellation of an accredited activity, course fees will be fully refunded.  
5. ACHE is not responsible for other costs incurred such as non-refundable travel expenses.
