The Arkansas Colleges of Health Education (ACHE) Grand Rounds series will offer an in-depth exploration of current issues across various medical specialties, providing a platform for interdisciplinary learning and discussion. This series will feature prominent guest lecturers from a multi-state region, bringing diverse perspectives and the latest advancements in medical research, practice, and education. Aimed at healthcare professionals, faculty, staff, and students, the ACHE Grand Rounds will serve as a dynamic forum for fostering knowledge, collaboration, and innovation in addressing today's most pressing healthcare challenges.

1. Apply evidence-based guidelines and treatment protocols discussed in the Grand Rounds to real-world clinical cases in their respective specialties, improving patient management strategies.
2. Analyze complex medical cases by integrating interdisciplinary perspectives presented during the series, identifying optimal, coordinated care plans for improved patient outcomes.
3. Evaluate their current clinical practices and implement adjustments based on new research and insights shared in the Grand Rounds, ensuring alignment with the latest standards of care and best practices.

Cancellation Policy

When notified in writing and timely, ACHE will issue a refund for accredited continuing education activities.

Procedures and Responsibilities

1. All cancellations and requests for a refund must be received in writing no less than 20 days before the first day of the accredited continuing education activity to receive a full refund, less a 20% administrative fee.
2. No refunds will be made on cancellations received less than 20 days of the first day of the accredited continuing education activity.
3. Cancellations and requests for a refund shall be submitted in writing to the ACHE Office of Continuing Education. If the cancellation is submitted via U.S. Mail, the envelope must be post marked by the applicable deadline above.
4. ACHE reserves the right to cancel or postpone accredited activities, if necessary.  In the event of a cancellation of an accredited activity, course fees will be fully refunded.  
5. ACHE is not responsible for other costs incurred such as non-refundable travel expenses.

Participants will first examine the incidence of prenatal exposure to cannabis in the United States and Arkansas, highlighting current trends and patterns of use. The session will then explore the pathophysiology of cannabis exposure and its effects on fetal development, emphasizing the underlying mechanisms that contribute to adverse outcomes. Finally, learners will review the clinical implications of cannabis use in the pregnant woman and newborn, including maternal health considerations and neonatal outcomes. This program is designed to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge and competence to better identify, counsel, and manage patients affected by prenatal cannabis exposure.
